Location and Geography
- The Tripoint: The exact spot where Uganda, the DRC, and South Sudan meet is known as Salia Musala, which translates to "the three cooking stones".
- Boundaries: It is bordered by South Sudan to the north, Yumbe District to the east, the DRC to the west, and Maracha District to the south.
- Koboko town serves as the main administrative and commercial center, situated roughly 574 kilometers (357 miles) by road northwest of Uganda's capital, Kampala.
- Size and Elevation: The district covers a total land area of approximately 820.8 square kilometers and sits 1,285 meters (4,216 feet) above sea level.
